How Copy Trading Fees Work

Copy trading carries four kinds of charge: a monthly subscription to the provider, a performance fee where one is charged, the broker's spread on every copied trade, and the service's cut inside the subscription; two follow the calendar and two follow the trades. This paper shows the fees as a season pass and a toll, one real EURUSD copy with each charge worked out on example terms, the month day by day with the flat subscription against the trades, and the two places on your side where the four lines are written. After reading it you can work out what a copied trade left after its charges, and read a month's cost before any trade is counted.

Copy trading fees, in five lines

Copy trading carries four kinds of charge. The subscription, a fixed sum a month to the provider, 30 dollars in this example. The performance fee, a share of the profit the copies make, 20 percent at the services that charge one. The spread, which is the gap between the buying and the selling price, the broker's usual cost on every copied trade, 0.9 pip in this example. And the service's cut, a slice of the subscription that the platform keeps, inside the 30. On the real trade of 25 August 2026, a 0.10 lot copy of EURUSD from 1.16527 to 1.16695 made 16.80, with 0.90 of spread already paid inside that, and 3.36 of performance fee if one is charged. Two charges follow the calendar and two follow the trades.

A toll road with a season pass

Picture a toll road with a season pass. The pass is the subscription, 30 dollars a month, paid at the start of the month and the same whether the road is used once or a hundred times. The barrier is the spread, the broker's toll, paid on every trip through, which is every copied trade. A performance fee, where one is charged, is a third thing: a share of what each trip earned, taken at the end. The pass costs the same in a quiet month; the toll only when you drive.
