How to Export Your Trade History

Exporting the trade history is two right-clicks on the Account History tab, one for the period and one for Save as Report, which writes every closed trade as a row in a file that any browser, spreadsheet or journal app can read. This paper shows you the export in five lines; the idea as a removal box; the right-click menu and the Custom Period box; the file opened for August 2026 with the example rule's twenty-one real rows and their total of 92.20; and the same door on MetaTrader 5, cTrader, TradingView and the broker's portal.

Exporting the history, in five lines

Exporting the trade history is getting the closed trades out of the platform and into a file without retyping them. In MetaTrader 4 the trades live on the Account History tab of the Terminal, one row per closed trade. Right-click, Custom Period, sets the dates the file should cover; right-click, Save as Report, writes an .htm page with one row per trade and a totals line, and Save as Detailed Report adds the summary figures. The file opens in any browser, and from there it goes to a journal app, a spreadsheet or an accountant.

A removal box

Picture a removal box. Everything from one room is packed into it as it is, the box is labelled, and it is carried across the street to the next house, where it is unpacked with nothing rewritten and nothing left behind. An export is that box. The closed trades are packed exactly as the platform holds them, the label is the file name and the period, and the box is carried to whichever house needs it, a journal app, a spreadsheet or an accountant's desk.
