How to Draw Fibonacci Retracements

A Fibonacci retracement is drawn with two clicks, one on the low where the move began and one on the high where it ended, and the platform hangs the marks between them. This paper shows you the tool laid on gold's rise of August to October 2025, the idea as a tape measure hooked on one end, the drawn tool on the daily chart, which move to draw it on, and how to choose the marks in the Levels tab on your platform.

Two clicks

A Fibonacci retracement is drawn with two clicks. Gold rose from 3311.51 on 20 August 2025 to 4381.38 on 20 October. Choose the tool, click on the low where the move began, and drag to the high where it ended: the platform draws a line between the two clicks and hangs the marks from it — 23.6, 38.2, 50 and 61.8 percent of the way back from the high. The pullback low of 28 October, 3886.61, sat 46 percent back, just under the halfway mark. Two clicks; the arithmetic is the platform's.

A tape measure

The picture is a tape measure. You hook it on one end of the thing you are measuring, pull it to the other, and read the marks off the tape between. Drawing the retracement is the same two motions: the first click hooks the tool on the start of the move, the drag pulls it to the end, and the marks appear between. Hook it on the wrong end — a high that was not the end of the move, a low that was not its start — and every mark is in the wrong place.
