What the Machine Can Actually See

An assistant looking at your chart is doing exactly one thing: turning a picture into a description. Everything useful about it and everything dangerous about it follows from that single fact. It can name what is on the screen, count it, compare it and draft rules about it, and it does all four faster than you do. It cannot see what is off the screen, cannot know your account, cannot know what happens next, and — the one that costs money — cannot decline to answer.
